OnePlus 6T - T-Mobile Version - No Quick Tiles

I used the OnePlus data transfer app to copy everything over from my GS9, and I don't have any issues.

The problem happens any time i restore any Google Android information on initial setup (apps, call logs, passwords, etc.). I have done a bug report with Oneplus and am going to send them over log files so they can hopefully fix it for future folks.

I got mine fromT-Mo yesterday. I also had no l quick tiles. I found i ifi pulled down the notification shade and the pushed it back upa bit i couple see the tiny pencil edit icon. Then i could drag in the role tiles. For some reason the tile area was blank by default.

Interesting. Mine never showed any pencil icon at all. The only icon I ever got was the Settings gear, no matter how far I pulled it down or up.

That is what I thought. I had to pull it down then back up just a bit. The pencil was tiny. Maybe it was just me but there were no quick tiles installed by default. I'm good with that now.

Just don't know if I can tolerate not having visual alert of notifications with the screen off now.

I'm not sure if this helps, but there is a setting to wake the screen on new notifications in the Ambient Display section in Settings.

Restored mine via Google and I do not (yet) have that problem.

Travis, good on you for following up on an issue you've had, keeping people informed and being persistent about getting something fixed the right way. A+ for your efforts sir!

It seems that with the wake screen setting enabled the screen will come on when a message comes in but then it soon times out. Thanks..

I also from my Google becackup.

On my OP6 when I first got it, same issue after the update to P. It sorted itself out within 24 hours. Check your messages for anything regarding configuration or settings, I was getting those over the first day.

Pull the status bar down completely. Press on the bar where T-Mobile is located. Drag it down. The top blank icon pack section will expand. Tap on the pencil drag and drop shortcut icons into the blank area. Holds 6 shortcuts across.

I was just going to make a similar post. When I first pull the shade down I only see the settings icon. If I then pull down further from the center of the shade the notifications compress and the pencil edit icon appears.

Not sure if this will help anyone but I just noticed there is a "developer mode quick tiles" setting on the developer mode menu. Developer mode must be enabled in settings by tapping on the about phone_>build number 7 times. If you enable this and add one of the settings quick tiles or may toggle your quick panel on.

Also, in the developer option section, To make your 6t responsiveness much quicker change these 3 settings from 1x to.5x Your 6t will feel like it has a snapdragon 855 under the hood.
