OnePlus 7 is going to be amazing!

Well your getting more phone for $1000, better display, sound, camera, wireless charging and water proofing. Yes the OP is a great value, but there are legitimate reasons why other phones cost more.

They cost more because people will pay it. Not me. I have a V20 from day one. No water proof on that phone either. I never talk on the phone while in the bathroom.... 😁 Better display? That is subjective. The processor is said to be a Snapdragon 855 like the S10 but $400 cheaper. The camera is not that important to me. I am willing to take some small sacrifices for the cheaper price tag.

And this is another valid point! Phone manufacturers will definitely take subjectivity into play when pricing their products. Yes, they cost a lot to make; but manufacturers know that someone will pay $1200+ for an iPhone XR because they want it, and because it's a brand name.

Yes but one can say that about any phone. Why buy a $600 one plus when I can spend $300 on a Moto g7. half the price of a one plus. Of course its all subjective. But for many a note 9 s10 is worth the higher price tag.

Everyone has me worried about jumping ship from moto now to 1+7 with all this talk about them having major security issues. Is it really that bad???

I'm not liking the latest rumors for the OP7 & 7 Pro. It is sounding like the 7 is just a 6t upgraded with the SD 855 and a slightly different camera. The pop up front camera is only supposed to be on the Pro model which is rumored to have a curved display. Curved displays are the worst, more fragile and expensive with accidental touch issues and discoloration on the curve.

So... now the latest teaser; it's going to be expensive.

Yeah I'm interested to see how that works out for them. I like my 6T a lot, but some of the little naggy things that bug me I brush off because it's an inexpensive (comparatively speaking) phone. At over 700 bucks, I don't think I'll be as forgiving. Hopefully they have some oh wow feature that makes it worth the considerable price jump.

Two weeks to the announcement. Though with all the leaks and teasers there will be little left to ponder. Too bad it's looking like the Pro is going to be outside my wallets comfort zone.

This may be my sleeper pick for my next phone. If Note 10 or Pixel 4 XL disappoints...I'll definitely go the Pro version.

So... the OP7 is going to be a OP6t with some better guts. Seems like all that's left to announce will be the prices.

Eh, no IP rating, no wireless charging, no AO, no notification light. Lots of no's for a $700 phone. Not to mention the camera is still not up to par. I'll pass, may revisit if I can find one cheaper later.

1+7 pro for little more money

As a self confessed phone addict I was interested in the OP7 Pro and that screen looks amazing. The lack of an always on display and wireless charging are the show stoppers for me though. OP are positively apple-esque in their stubbornness on wireless charging and they had the AOD on the OP6 and then removed it!

In the UK at least the Mate 20 pro is priced the same as the OP7 too which is worth consideration.

The OnePlus 7t Pro might be around then, although I do wonder if OnePlus will now move to only releasing one phone in a year instead of their usual 2?

Slight correction. While there is no dedicated notification LED, They did implement a "Halo" ring of light all the way around the edge of the display for notifications.

Additionally, while other companies give IP ratings, they do not back the rating in their warranty. So what the hell good is the rating if you don't back it up? I have already seen a review where the reviewer put the OP7 Pro in a jug of water with a timer running for the entire review. I think it will be ok
