OnePlus X Lacks Major US LTE Bands

I was getting super excited for this phone and then I read the PC Magazine article and found this:

"The OnePlus X may also have a critical problem for U.S. buyers. It has LTE bands 1/2/4/5/7/8. It's missing 12 and 17. That means while it's compatible with AT&T and T-Mobile, it's missing the low-frequency, 700MHz bands (Bands 12 and 17) that have the best suburban, rural, and in-building coverage. This means the OnePlus X will have significantly worse LTE coverage on AT&T and T-Mobile than competing phones."

If it doesn't go through T-Mobile's VoLTE certification, I doubt it will get Band 12 LTE support.

I was excited too until I checked the bands. Band 17 is the most widely used LTE band in my state so it's off my list. With any of the Chinese phone makers you have to check what bands it supports.

IF this had band 17, it would be a no-brainer to buy this for $250. Looks like Asus Zenfone 2 Laser or Alcatel Idol 3 for me

It's the same story for me, I'm on AT&T and Band 17 is HUGE in my area. OPX fails right out of the starting gate for me which is sad as I love my OPO.

Just for some clarity, it is not a horrible experience for all users on AT&T. I am actually seeing better LTE signal where I live with my OnePlus X than with my LG Nexus 5X. It all depends where you live. I was worried it would be a horrible experience, but it is not. Personally, I also love to use the device way more than the Nexus.

Anyone know if this phone will work on the bell mobility network in Canada? I hope so i just ordered one lol

Let us know if it works with Bell.

The phone works with Rogers and Fido.

Phone has the looks, OS is a little half baked and may have some bugs, OS 3.1.3 seems stable (me), some have said they are having problems.
OnePlus support are not too helpful but try their best.

Others have had no problems with all versions of the OS... It could be the parts they get for the devices are not consistent to specs (my guess).
