I tried to click the 'get help with your order' and it popped up a message with 2 options... chatting. and calling. Chatting said this :

Most of the times these reps have no clue what they are talking about but hey this is all you have to go on right now.
What I did was log out, clear my cache, and just browsed around their site as if I were 'shopping' and the 'chat' thing came up on its own... cuz 'clearly' I was in need of help deciding. So... I chatted

I have no idea the release date but do know you guys are going to never get the date from an online chat. It seems just like yesterday that all these threads were startedd about the Thunderbolt release. Just give it time it out of your hand but I do understand how frustrating it can be I hate waiting too.

Gentlemen you will know the release date before the Verizon Wireless employees do. Just sit back and wait. AC or one of the other tech sites/blogs will leak the info when it gets close. You are chasing your own tails by calling and chatting with these centers. You know more than they do. Trust me.
Even when a hard launch date is known they still won't have a clue until it's a week or 2 out. Some won't even know its released until you bring it to their attention.

Alright, I was chatting with a Verizon rep online, and no, I did not get any information about the Bionic release date. What I did get from the rep was kind of interesting. I don't know if it was a slip or he just didn't have a clue. Below is a piece of the conversation:
Rep: So you want a dual processor correct?
Me: Yes. Is that the max in phones now?
Rep: We have some quads, let me take a look for you.
Rep: I'm sorry the only Processsor I see is 1GHz.
Rep: Other than the processor is there anything else that you like in a phone?
Me: Is there anyone that is making quads now?
Me: I am also looking for touch screen, but no flipout keyboard
Rep: I'm not sure and are you looking for a slide out or just qwerty keyboard.
First the rep said they had some quads, then after asking me to hold for a second, he said there was none available and didn't know of anyone who was manufacturing them. Why would you say you had some quads and then all of a sudden weren't sure of anyone who was making them?

Because they are absolutely clueless and have no idea what dual core means, nevermind quad. Fail.
I'm telling you, I know some of these reps know more info than you guys would think. And I'm just gonna keep tryin for I have nothin else to do in my spare time haha
Well I'm just going to say it because..well it just needs to be said. This is getting childish. You should stop wasting these peoples time with this nonsense already. The live chats are for legit questions and for "real" people who are looking for help/info not this nonsense.

I have noticed that a lot of reps said that verizon hasn't been given a date! Not the reps, but verizon itself. They say motorola hasn't released a day yet, and that it keeps being sent back for improvements. I'm kinda really startin to doubt august 4th. Mid august, early September sounds more realistic
