Why does it take a second or so after when you click the app drawer button for it to open! Mine still lags a very tiny bit, as if it's got to cache the installed apps.

After that, pressing and closing it is instant.. why isn't it always like this.

Like any database, initially reading it takes time. Especially if the info in it has to be built. After that it's stored in RAM or the table used to read it is built already, which is why it's quicker.

Yeah but why can third party launchers' app drawers instant open?

Check out any video of the Galaxy SIII and it's instant.. HTC needs to re-think how it can make it instant.. that little bit of lag makes my stomach acid act up!

Yea I use apex launcher and the drawer is always instant when it opens. But on sense I know exactly what you are talking about.

Mine is instant. Sub quarter second. App drawer opens faster than the Dialer.

I don't have a ton of apps installed, only 6 pages.

If you watch the videos of the GIII, they are new phones with noting but a little bloatware installed.

There's a noticeable difference from the first time you open to like the 5th time(if you open/close/open/close consecutively)

I hope it's not a low memory/ram/video memory issue.. I try and show friends my phone and I'm like "yeah every thing this phone does is screaming fast.." then I click the app drawer and it's a noticeable wait compared to the next time. :(

I had the same issue. Maybe it has something to do with how heavily skinned the app drawer is on the One X? The SIII app drawer seems to have much less going on.
