Ok so I put my Phone Back to stock rom and So i tryed to use wifi and it goes through everything except for the obtaining the ip adress its just keeps doing that over and over again til it disables it and i dont know what this is happening any advice:-$

The one time this happened to me, it ended up being my router and a reboot of my router fixed my issue

I have a linksys router Can u tell me how to reboot it cus i think may have befor and this did not work

And you're the poster who just started another thread asking about how to make custom ROMs? Sorry, can't help but LOLing at that.

Um, I just unplugged it for 10 minutes and then powered it up for 10 minutes before trying to reconnect my wifi.

Also make sure you enter the correct hex key on phone (password from router to phone). Enter it with all capital letters. This allows you're phone to connect to your router if you have a secure router. I too have a Linksys router and found this out the hard way after I installed a New rom. My phone would do the same thing.

You might think its funny but im here to learn not to be laughed at.So yes it might be funny for some 13 year old kid to ask these questions. But not to be laughed at by some 20 year old.

I seem to have a knack for pissing off our younger posters here. I was actually thinking of how your contradiction reminded me of a 40-something manager at work who likes to tell our devs how easy certain functional changes must be to implement, yet he can't hook up a wireless keyboard without calling the help desk. I merely pointed out the irony.

I applaud your efforts to learn.

Life is short. Learn to laugh at yourself and laugh often and you'll find it a more enjoyable ride. ;)
