Many of the "exploits" used to root a device are listed in anti virus programs as a trojan horse or means. If you obtained the rooting files from a well known thread/forum/source I would not worry about using it. Most rooting guides tell users to temporarily disable any anti virus or spyware/malware scanners before attempting root access.
