Ordering From Samsung

So if I order the t mobile version through Samsung, do I just contact tmo when I receive it and tell them what line on my account I want to use it on? Or do I swap my Note 9 sim to the Ultra myself when I get it and that's it? I've only ever upgraded in store before and they do everything for me there.

It should be set up for your line when you get it.

what if my existing S10+ is from TMobile (JOD), and this incoming new S20 Ultra 512gb is from samsung.com?

would the S20 Ultra be able to work immediately after i take out the nano SIM from my S10+ and put it into my S20 Ultra?
(the nano SIM from my s10+ is obviously from TMobile)

You just swap the SIM into the new phone.

Are you getting unlocked through Samsung?

It'll have a sim already? When will my service go out on my Note 9?

I mean correct me if I'm wrong but for me one of the reasons I'm getting unlocked is to avoid the activation fee. So I'm just taking the Sim card out of my note 10+ and putting it into the new phone and that should be that.

I'm leaning towards the tmo version through samsung. I don't plan on taking the phone to another carrier and I like having wifi calling and hd + voice and visual voicemail

If you buy the Tmo version through Samsung you should still be able to avoid the activation fee by swapping sims. At least that's how it works on Verizon.

I hear you I'm still on the fence too but to the best of my knowledge everything works with Verizon so we shall see.

I'm on Verizon. I'm mostly concerned with voice hd and Wi-Fi calling.
Wifi calling I can confirm. It support voLTE but not HD

From verizon

VoLTE delivers voice calls over the 4G LTE network instead of the traditional voice network, providing clearer, more natural sounding audio when both parties are using HD Voice-enabled phones that are connected to our 4G LTE network. HD Voice also includes additional benefits such as: Simultaneous voice and 4G LTE data.
