My OTA update fails because I have the r2d2 lock screen icons installed so I need to go back to the original. To go back to stock is all I have to do is grab a copy of the original framework-res.apk and put it in /system/framework and Im good to go to update or do I need to install it somehow if just replacing that file with the original isn't enough?

Thanks!

The images shouldn't mess that up as the system looks for names and they are named the same. Look for a system dump for the version your on. Pull that apk and push with adb.

I figured it was that file since thats the only thing I modded on the phone and when installing I hit the search button to see where it fails and I get some message that says patch check fails on /system/framework/framework-res.apk so it just seemed logical to me that it's doing more then a simple name check. Will look into what you recc, don't care how I fix it, just want to so I can update!

Did you change them with ninja or metamorph? I had that same issue going from 2.1 to 2.2. Stopped using both. Always make a backup to flash back to so your not stuck again. I ended up just sbf to fix it. If you have the 2.2 sbf you could run that. Then do the ota to 2.2.1. Then before you do anything make a backup. Name it something like stock2_1_1 so when 2.3 drops just flash back to that save then you can ota again.
