OT: Amazon may sell Samsung Charge free this monday

I'm expecting they'll at least let us have it for $99, and I would expect that the primary on a family account would get individual pricing, that's the way it works at VZW, only the other members of the family plan have to pay the family plan price for devices (which is higher than new customer price).

But yeah, if its enough of a discount, it wouldn't matter if the Bionic was around the corner or not, money is tight. If I could save $100 or more and have a device that I like and is out now, I'd much rather do that than keep waiting to pay $300 for something that may not even have unlimited data after all.

If this true I am very interested. Only problem is my 2 year contract expired months ago and would like to switch over to a family plan that already has 2 lines on it. I know Amazon has some stipulations/penalties when you buy through them, but should I switch over to the family plan before or after I get a new phone and does it matter? Anyone know the best way to do this?

I have a discounted data plan (23.99 / mo) bc when I signed up they had a sale... the problem is if I buy from amazon it would go back to 29.99 right? Should I call verizon ahead of time and ask them if they can make sure it stay 23.99?

Not necessarily. They typically have the special for new customers only. I dont like it at all, but new customers are always given better deals than current customers in everything.

Blogcentral time. Man im so excited to see if true tommroow.

I will get Charge if its 100 or less. I mean in Bionics current state i dont even know if itll still be my dream phone or not. The original was my dream phone. The new one will probably have better specs, but it could be butt ugly for all i know.

So that is why if the deal is on, im going for Charge. Il be locked into LTE, and i can skip dual core altogether and go to Quad core, sell off CHarge and buy Quad core phone full price.

Now the wait for tommroow begins.

I talked to a amazonwireless rep. She was nice and honest. Says she has no ideas of the prices and deals, but said she was told an amazing sale (no pun intended) was in store for tomorrow for sure! As an update, I wasn't actually due for a ne2. Apparently I'm not due till mid july, but verizonwireless was offering me an online only ability to upgrade super early with $50 off. And since my og droid is all but shot, I had almost no choice since I couldn't order through amazon or costco..

The sale tomorrow (tonight, really) is rumored to have all three VZW LTE phones for free on contract. I'm getting the Thunderbolt tonight hopefully. I have my dad's NE2 upgrade at my disposal, so it should be free.

It's free for new subscribers/primary line upgrades. It's probably going to be $50 for a regular upgrade if the rumor is true.

A week ago they had different options for primary lines and regular lines in a family account. It looks like they're not crediting NE2 anymore.
