[OTA][9/21] Official Jelly Bean JRO03O for the Verizon GNex

Re: [OTA] Semi-Official Jelly Bean JRO03O for the Verizon GNex

It's generally:

Code:
adb push file.zip /sdcard/file.zip

Make sure your spacing is correct; in your code, it appears to have no space.

Anywho, that should work.

How do I - reboot to fastboot and flash the original recovery back

You need to find the image and flash it, or let it revert automatically.

How do you mean let it revert automatically?

do I just Fastboot oem lock now

I explained the reversion thing in the first post and I think on this page ;).

Yes, you can do that.

I've never rooted or unlocked any of my devices so sorry for this question but, will this delete any of my stuff ( music movies apps app data etc.) ?????

Unlocking will wipe everything. You only have to do it once tho :)

Unlocking will delete everything. I suggest reading the Don't Panic guide before venturing in. :)

So i followed all the steps perfectly, but now it seems like my GNex takes 2x to load? Has anyone else gotten this issue?? I see the Google screen, with the small unlocked icon on the bottom for about 2 mins before it switches to the new 4 color X screen. Did i forget to do something??

Nope, that's 100% completely normal JB behavior. Have no fear!

You just reminded me that I need to download CWM touch again. First thought of it when I flashed the leaked JB VZW radios.

i dont know about the reverting automatically.. but if you go into the stock 4.04 files google releases here

https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#mysid

there is a zip that contains a file called recovery.img . if you flash that onto the device the same way you did for CWM you will have stock recovery.

once you do that oem lock and enjoy your phone with GOOD

ok...i'm a newbie. I unlocked/rooted my nexus fine, then downloaded Rom Manager. I tried to flash CWM from the app and every time it says "An error occured while attempting to run privileged commands!" so...how do I flash CWM without app? or any other help?

Re: [OTA] Semi-Official Jelly Bean JRO03O for the Verizon GNex

The amount of satisfaction I got from using adb and relearning how to root was awesome Thanks for the help everyone

With fastboot. Watch the video, we do it twice :).

After all of that it looks like the GOOD app has been pulled from the market place....LOL I hope it comes back today as that is when my pin expires and I willhave to request a new one.

LOL really? Damn.

When flashing JB, did the latest version of CWM retain root access for everybody else? I was expecting to have to re-root.
