[OTA][FF18][Official] EL29 to FF18 Update.zip

Thanks for posting the update because as of today I still had not received. Was just notified that the Android update was successful. Now updating and checking apps. Nice not to have to reinstall apps.:D:D:D:D

Wellllllllll....dont bet on that just yet.....your gonna get really bad battery drain....laginess....random reboots....the only way to fix that is to do a factory reset and manually reinstalling apps via the market. Just a heads up.

Do I download the update.zip file on my computer then send to my sd card or download on my phone?

I am normally hesitant to mess with my stock OS with Android, but I decided to give this a go. I threw it on my SD card and let it do its thing (just like how you said), then once it loaded ICS I immediately did a factory reset then set it up, and it runs perfectly. It is fast and smooth. I will put up another post once I have had a few days to play with it so I can accurately list problems (if any).

It might just be easier to do it the way I mentioned, which is to download it on your computer, then put it on your SD card from there, power off the phone, hold the volume and power button until you see the prompt, then select INSTALL UPDATE FROM SD CARD, select the update, then let it do its thing. Let me know if that doesn't work.

If I have a rooted EL29 and I do a factory reset, will the phone go back to an unrooted original? if not, what can I do? Thanks!
