OTA may bring more LTE bands to the Pure Edition XT1095

Now we just need band 12.
Just asking: How big a deal is band 12? Moto's action to address the other bands is encouraging, and removes most of the concern I had about buying a Pure for use on AT&T. If there are some occasions when I'm traveling out of the country and don't have LTE I think I can live with it.

Unfortunately this is still a fairly weak offering of LTE bands. For example, the Pure will only boast a handful of the new iPhone 6's supported bands including the TD-LTE bands (which means no Sprint spark network). Here is what is supported by the iPhone 6 A1586/A1524:

1 (2100 MHz)
2 (1900 MHz)
3 (1800 MHz)
4 (AWS)
5 (850 MHz)
7 (2600 MHz)
8 (900 MHz)
13 (700c MHz)
17 (700b MHz)
18 (800 MHz)
19 (800 MHz)
20 (800 DD)
25 (1900 MHz)
26 (800 MHz)
28 (700 APT MHz)
29 (700 de MHz)
38 (TD 2600)
39 (TD 1900)
40 (TD 2300)
41 (TD 2500)

IPhone 6 doesn't have band 12 either.

Which raises for me the question of whether all these other bands are another set of specs I and most folks in the US don't need to care about. Chances are I'll be on AT&T for the life of this phone and the Pure will suffice 99%+ of the time. But if I'm wrong please correct me.
