OTA Question

This is a little bit different from my other thread... I am rooted and have Z4 Root, Titanium Pro and Asto installed... When the official OTA for GB comes out... Will this basically put me back to "stock" for the new version? I assume Titanium will still be installed but unusable... but for all other intents and purposes... will I be stock for the new version? Or do I still need to worry about unrooting and flashing back before taking the update?

You need to be stock to be able to take the OTA or you will run into problems. You have to SBF or use Maderstcok prior to accepting the new GB OTA.

If you get the official ota it will unroot you and put you on stock GB.

As long as you haven't removed or frozen any of the bloatware from VZW you'll get the ota.

The simple answer is don't expect it. Droid X is about to be replaced and reach its end of life very soon I imagine. Not sure VZW would want to invest the money upgrading a device when DX2 is around the corner which will also be on Gingerbread.
