ota update killed ? my rooted at&t sgh-i747

Hello , Hoping someone can give some input on my att i747. It was rooted with stock rom. 4.4.2 firmware, then today out of no where the ota update came thru, son had my phone and clicked proceed! it would turn on but only get as far as the 2nd samsung logo screen and then black. i went thru odin and attemped to recover thru back up files. It said pass in the 1st box. device powered down and then when it restarted it did so in team win recovery project. Is this fixable? If so how do i go about it? Or is it time to get a new phone? Thank you in advance and if ive posted in the wrong area , i apologize.
