OTA Update MJ7 to MJE - Any Negative Results?

I am having tons of issues. First off, my screen will not turn off unless I manually do so. I have changed the screen time several times, and it will not turn off. So, if I get a text message, my screen stays on until I check the message and turn the screen off. Also, I am having some multitouch issues which I had originally when I bought the phone. (They disappeared after about a month and I had not been having the problems anymore). What happens is my touch screen does not respond at times and when it happen I have to turn the screen off and back on to get it to work, OR touch the screen in two place simultaneously, release, and then continue use as normal.

For those having issues have you tried to clear cache and a factory data reset?

Is the failure to fix buggy compass and gyroscope firmware a negative result?

My Brand new note 3 was replaced by Verizon, the firmware started to produce consistent error messages. I suggested that we try a factory reset, verizon said that had not worked for others in the past with the same scenario. The replacement phone seems slower, might be my imagination.

Kinda a double post in another thread but it broke my hotspot widget, which I was using for a backdoor WIFI tether on an unrooted Note3. (unlimited data plan). Reinstall does not help.. Will have to root now
