Outlook App on G4

I bought my G4 a few days ago and I am really liking it thus far. However I have a question regarding the Outlook App. I use exchange and I like the Outlook App more than Mailwise and since its very similar to Nine I figure I would just keep with it.

The question I have is related to icon notifications. Whenever I receive a new message notice it only appears in the top notification bar and not on the icon itself. For the life of me I can't figure it out. I've go through all the settings a few times and nothing.

Below is a photo from my iPhone 6 that has the notification on the Outlook App - whereas on the Android version does not give me a visual icon showing the number of messages received. Does the Android App not have this feature?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I am not familiar with the history of the Accompli app before it was acquired by Microsoft and renamed/rebranded, but it was still in beta this spring, so probably developed from scratch after the acquisition (corrections welcome if I'm wrong : ) So it may just be that the feature has not been implemented yet. I notice the developers are along for feedback and suggestions for new features, so you could let them know.

Regarding unread counts in general, it is supported by some launchers, for example Nova Prime with the TeslaUnread app added. I have not been able to get it to show counts for the Outlook app yet though (but it works for Nine).

Yes I think you're right. I was able to do a search and seems like other have commented on that as early as April of last year and its a feature that has yet to be resolved. The office Microsoft site has a comment from MS sating that the notification only occurs in the notification bar on not on the icon itself - which to me seems pretty lame considering they do it for iOS so how can they not have it for Android.
