P3Droid saying 12/8?

He said the nexus would be released later then people wanted when everyone was thinking it would be released in November, so I totally believe him that the phone will come out on the 8th-9th. Of course if he is wrong I will drop him from my twitter account as punishment

We know what will happen... if the 8th comes and goes... he will say "it was the date but it changed at the last minute. Not my fault."

I'm not attacking or defending, rather just sharing an observation. I find it interesting that some sources (while ridiculed) seem to be offering more info lately than other sources (while worshiped). I sometimes wonder why people choose to hitch their wagons to some sources and not others, while at the same time hearing nothing more than the proverbial chirp of crickets from their own coveted sources.

Here's to hoping for a 12/5 pre-order and a 12/8 release!!!

"I have some information for you guys regarding the release. As I've stated far too many times, my spouse is a rep with VZW and is involved in many more responsibilities than your run-of-the-mill-know-nothing corporate rep. Because of his strong sales, he was selected to attend a roundtable discussion this week with Jerry Fountain, a high up manager with Verizon. The purpose of the meeting isn't important, but knowing who Jerry Fountain is is important. Jerry is the President of the Tennessee/Carolinas region (which is our region - we live in N.C.) and has some serious clout within Verizon.

In the meeting today, Jerry was discussing the holiday season and sales. He was on the topic of the very good 4G phones available on Verizon and said the best is yet to come. He was referencing the Galaxy Nexus. Then, he announced to those in attendance that the Nexus is slated for a December 8th launch in all locations and that the date is pretty solid at this point.

Again, I post information simply to inform - take it for what you want. But when I hear a Regional President of Verizon say something like this to a small group of employees hand-chosen by their managers due to their sales success within the company, I take it as a pretty good "source.""

As I stated after in that thread, roundtables are a good source of info. It's also directed for how VZW the employer can build upon employee relationships with the comp and to give feedback. Been to a few here in Illinois, any info from there is pretty solid.

As I stated after in that thread, roundtables are a good source of info. It's also directed for how VZW the employer can build upon employee relationships with the comp and to give feedback. Been to a few here in Illinois, any info from there is pretty solid.

CEO of Verizon Ivan Seidenberg told me directly in a private meeting it would release on Dec 9th.....

See how easy that was....I used a name and said I was in a meeting...must be true....

LoL anyone who says a comment like that deserves it! Reminds me of the time my wife came in the house one day and said that she sucked it a few times and it started squirting everywhere, I was like WTF are you talking about, she said I siphoned the water off the pool cover with a hose.
We had talked about doing it an hour before so i didn't know we were still in that conversation still.

I find it funny that someone is selling an early model verizon lte galaxy nexus on CL near phoenix AZ.. same area where P3droid lives.. If it is his then thats a good sign that the Nexus is on its way to retail asap.
