Package disabler

Another problem i noticed with the carrier services app is overheating. I turned it on again today and had the phone in my shirt pocket and man did it get hot.

Phone issue most likely cause in no way does mines ever overheat with that simple carrier service app, i would start checking and see if you need your phone replaced, cause carrier service in no way will overheat your phone.

I don't think carrier services will do that , you saying when disabled it's ok and when enable it starts overheating?
 
Yes when its disabled the phone never has gotten hot. I turned it on yesterday for about 5 hrs and 2 hrs later the phone got really hot, i wasn't using it i had it in my shirt pocket.
 
I'm not really familiar with the disabling app but I turn off Carrier services cuz I don't use Google messaging I'll get a 30% more battery. I'm sure my phone still learning my usage it's only been a few days and I haven't been on it much cuz I've been working today I'm off work so I'll be on it a lot more. I did uninstall a few games that were on the phone I knew I wasn't going to use. I really haven't looked to see if there's anything else I can uninstall. I've never used Verizon Plus messages I just always use samsung. Mostly because if I have a theme it matches.
 
How long did it take you to get a link emailed for Package Disabler? My payment is made but still waiting... when paying for something I expect an email to be immediate...

I assume you have other things disabled, as well? I'm wondeing if there's something else disbaled that carrier servcies needs to function and that's causing an issue.

I think it's auto-generated, so I recall getting it pretty much right away. Did you check your spam folder?

Don't have one... I use Thunderbird. It will mark stuff it suspects as spam but everything goes to my inbox unless I have a specific filter set up.
It's been about 3 hours so far... Probably have to send them an email.
 
Mine was right away but was looking at a older receipt it says can take up to 4 hours

A little Off Topic, but when it's time to renew your subscription, do they notify you? I haven't been to my account with PDP for awhile, but I don't remember a renew option, just a buy additional copies section.

No they give a timetable when your subscription up or device threshold as I use the cloud service with them

I use their cloud also & my subscription expires in a week. So I guess I'm not clear on the renewal process. It says in their FAQ that an email will be sent a month before the renewal date but I never received one. I suppose I should contact them.
I'm more than likely experiencing an extreme episode of 'being dense'!!

U could contact them but keep using until a error message what I usually do or can't install on a new device or factory reset

Okay! That's what I'll do, just wait until an error message appears.

I appreciate your response. This was the first year of using the cloud service & I just wasn't sure.
