Pandora Bluetooth song info 4.3

After upgrading I no longer receive artist and song info when connected to my vw car stereo. It was working before. Google music still works.

I've unpaired and connected my phone again with no luck. Has anyone seen this or know a fix?

Sounds like a Pandora issue.

I'm experiencing the same issue with Pandora and actually just posted about it. Same issue with Spotify. Google Play Music still works for me.

Have you tried clearing data, cache, and uninstalling Pandora? Then shutting down starting in recovery (volume up, home button, and power button simultaneously), clearing cache partition there (will not lose any data), then reinstalling Pandora?

I've been having all sorts of problems with Pandora and Songza since the update. Both constantly force close.
I wiped the cache, uninstalled and reinstalled both apps and even did a factory reset. Nothing has helped with either app.
Spotify is working fine for me.
Any advice would be helpful.

Is the issue you are experiencing a force close or artist and song information not displaying via a Bluetooth connection? I think the issue the OP had was artist and song information not displaying over Bluetooth, not app force closes.

Two things I thought might be worth reporting on this thread:

(1) I've seen at least one review of the Pandora app in the Google play store commenting that artist info disappeared when playing over Bluetooth after the 4.3 update.

(2) Audio information displays in Pocketcasts when playing over Bluetooth.

So, this really does appear to be a Pandora (and for me, Spotify) issue.

I just went through this with Samsung chat, cleared data and cache, removed and reinstalled the app, and still have no Artist or Song info in my car. All the Artist and Song info works fine on my music player and iHeart Radio. Its just Pandora that is giving an issue.

Before the Android OS system update this year Pandora was working fine in my car via Bluetooth connection, reporting track info etc. After the update a few weeks/month\ ago (cannot remember how long), it now reports nothing to the Bluetooth player in my car (radio) - the music plays but no track info - when streaming stations this is very sub-par experience... especially if you are paying for the Pandora. IS this a Pandora or Android issue?Can someone from Google or Pandora please reply or tell us how to take this issue to a higher power? It is pretty much unacceptable...

have had this issue since the upgrade. i think everyone has to write to them individually. they claim that they have to do a fix for every individual phone, at least this is how they made it seem. It is ABSOLUTELY a Pandora issue though. They will ask for a lot of info about your phones system and software, but they are very responsive.

I don't think this is just a Pandora issue. I'm having the same issue with Rhapsody. I've tried all the above things to fix the problem with no luck. I tried a trial with Spotify, same issue. No song info displayed. I have a 2013 Chevy Malibu. It was working fine, then quit working. I'm tired of developers fixing what isn't broken, and in the process braking things that were working fine. I'm really annoyed with this.
