I have had the Evo for 2 days and this is killing me. My Exchange policies require me to use a password or pin lock.

Problem #1 - HTC created a password lock on Android 2.1, but no PIN lock. My exchange provider requires a number in the password, so every time I type the password, I need to hold down a key until the number appears. Really slow unlock process.

Problem #2 - there is no a lock delay/idle time. So EVERY TIME the screen goes out, the password lock comes back. I must type the stupid password 50 times a day. Would not be so bad if it were a PIN, or even a password without a number.

I guess Froyo will solve the lack of PIN locking. I don't want to bypass the lock. Any way to delay the lock?

Touchdown is not allowed by my Exchange admin. Remote wipe function need to wipe the entire device, not just the email application.

Moxier Mail might support remote wipe.. but I don't know.. haven't used it since my Moment.

temp solution is to set up a redirect rule in MS Outlook to redirect all of your exchange emails to a secondary Gmail address. also go into your Gmail settings on Google.com and change your "reply to" address to your work email address.

kludge i know but at least you'll get push work email on your phone.

Those two issues drove me crazy too. I wish I had a simple PIN unlock, or pattern unlock.

I hear what you're saying, but in terms of usability I couldn't deal with those problems and I went with LockPicker. /shrug
