I had the same issue and could not remove the icon, until I realized I had the app disabled. After I enabled it, I was able to go to additional information and un-check the pedometer.

I have a paused icon on the lock screen under the date & time. I've had my phone several months & never noticed it before. Doesn't seem to affect or pause anything so it's just kind of annoying...anybody have this issue or know how to fix? The icon is a shoe with a circle under the heel. Inside the circle is a person jogging kind of like the fitness app icon. Thanks!

Go to settings/lockscreen/additional information/pedometer and uncheck.

Should be all set!

Many thanks, it just showed up on my husband's Galaxy s5 and I had to google it. You provided the simplest answer.

I followed the procedure as described and the pedometer check mark was checked, but I couldn't un-check it. I read further on this page and read that if you 'disable' S Health, you will not be able to un-check the pedometer box. Sure enough, I had disabled S Health the night before top get rid of the "shoe" and that didn't work, so I gave up. This morning I re-enabled S Health and went back and was able to disable the pedometer. My head hurts, but the "shoe" is now gone. Thanks to all for the fix!!! ~Steve

I have this problem too. But the additional
Bit is gray. I cant click on it? And it says its on.
