Anyone else notice transcribed VM's in the phone app. Only available for T-Mobile customers for now (which is interesting).

At first, I thought I was using Google Voice. Anyway, it helps let me know if a msg is worth listening to or can be deleted.

The problem (maybe not with Fi or GV) is that the transcription sever isn't running anything you could call AI - I've had to call people back to find out what they actually said. I can understand why it makes the choices it makes, but when the name or the word is totally different than what was said, it's not too helpful. Dragon Naturally Speaking it isn't. (People should leave texts instead.)

Cricket does that too , however on the pixel it didn't transcribe properly but on any other phone it was okay for me

Transcriptions are, of course, dependent on how distinctly the caller speaks. Some are spot on accurate. I have one caller who mumbles and some of his transcriptions are hysterically funny.

I've found the transcriptions to be very good on Project Fi, with the exception of numbers. I always play the voicemail to verify that numbers have been correctly transcribed. For example, I always listen to the voicemail to verify phone numbers and/or addresses.
