Phone Arena Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact Reviews

Yeah but I'm really looking forward to that Z3 when T-mobile releases it.

Thats what I heard as well, wish it was sooner, Im ready to trade in my phone now

It actually works out interestingly for me. I don't have a local T-Mobile store, so I'd have to order it, and coordinate swtching to the nanoSIM. But the first week of November I'll be in Vegas, and can go pick one up in person. :)

Supposedly we're going to have to wait for the end of October.

I'm wondering if Tmo is delaying the release date so the they can release it with Android L? The end of October date lines up with the release of Android L. That would be a nice surprise and I think fuel demand for the phone.

How do they waterproof the ports? I've looked at reviews but they don't try to explain it.

Well I have the Galaxy S5 and have taken it underwater plenty of times so I would assume the Xperia Z3 with a higher IP rating should definitely be well even with the ports...there must be some sort of protection inside the ports

I went to the Sony store and physically tested the z2 and the Ultra.

Both very well built phones and light too. Very snappy and easy to use. Saleman stated that z3 is slightly different then the z2. Is that's the case I would jump on the z2 and not even wait for the z3.

Performance and screen will be identical (in every day use). The only difference between the two is the Z3 has an 801 that is slightly faster.

The phones will feel very different. The Z3 is slightly narrower, taller and has rounded corners. Based on what I have read, these changes make the Z3 more comfortable to hold. I have a Z1s and the corners are pretty sharp.

You will save some beans between the Z2 and the Z3. Many people who have a Z2 are skipping the Z3.
