Phone Displays Weird Screen while Sleeping -- Thoughts?

Hey y'all, I have a strange issue(?) with my phone. I'll occasionally look at it and it's displaying the time and my notifications, etc. while it's been asleep. The screen literally turns on for just a few seconds, I managed to grab a screenshot (attached).

I've never set up anything to cause this behavior, I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts about what was causing it, or if this is normal?

I'm running an unrooted Verizon Galaxy S4, version 4.2.2, build number JDQ39.I545VRUAME7

Edited for 2 reasons:
1. The first picture was gigantic, sorry!
2. This is actually happening about every 30 seconds right now. It's super weird.

Welcome to the forums. Do you have any display settings on that may cause this?

Not to my knowledge. I've combed through the system display settings to find it, and I haven't found anything. Nor have I installed a 3rd party app that indicated setting anything like this up.

You have Quick Glance enabled I do believe If you place your hand above the phone towards the earpiece this screen pops up.
