(As of today, i've formatted my phone again so there is no issue. At least for a week or so. I'm copy-pasting this from my post on reddit.)

I did not purchase this phone. I got it for free outside of a government building.
Once I got the phone, I started downloading much needed apps. Things like authenticators and quality of life improvements to keypad typing.
However the phone was so limited in storage, and over-time I kept running out of space and having to slowly delete some of my apps. I then decided to try and delete built-in apps that were worthless to me. Still kept filling even though I wasn't downloading or installing updates (I have the option ticked off in playstore).
I then used Kingoroot one-click to root my phone to remove more useless built-in stuff that I couldn't before. Still, kept filling.
I decided to then format my phone, losing everything on it and it reinstalled itself from it's internal storage(?). Everything looked fine. I reinstalled all my apps and even had over 500mb left to spare.
However, the same issue started to happen. Uninstalling my new non-essential for life apps did little to free up space. I eventually have to format again.
Now I am constantly reformating my phone every 2 months. Then it starts maxing out for zero reason visibly.
Here is what my phone storage looks like:

The second image is more accurate to what is actually on my phone.
I have no pictures, no music, no misc files on my phone.
List of apps I have installed:
18.59 MB - Authenticator
21.84 MB - Authy
27.58 MB - Calendar
16.23 MB - CCleaner
15.81 MB - Discord
68.62 MB - GBoard
113.00 MB - Google Play Services
32.85 MB - Googe Play Store
90.29 MB - Maps
111.00 MB - Messenger
13.56 MB - Next
3.75 MB - QR Code Reader
6.74 MB - SafeInCloud
14.83 MB - Steam
17.42 MB - Translate
I just deleted google maps which was 90 MB, but I really need it for my bus routes. My phone's internal GPS doesn't work and Google Maps is the only thing that can pick up my position.
