Phone freezes when pausing YouTube and it goes into sleep mode

When my husband is using YouTube app on his 7 Pro and pauses the video to do something else, the phone goes into sleep mode. But then it refuses to wake up again and the fingerprint symbol doesn't even appear on the screen to unlock the phone. He has to press and hold the power button until the phone restarts.

Any ideas?

Does it happen in Safe Mode as well?

Also try clearing the app cache/data for YouTube, force stop it, and see if it still happens.
