HALP! so I started off the othe night by doing the root install. 2 days later before I could get to doing anything else its now just in loop start it loads everything then locks up and restarts over and over and over. I unfortunatly have no real time to be searching the answers out on my own and this is attached to my business ( I know Im an ***** ) My phone has been OOS all day and Im missing texts and calls. Just need to restore it backk the way it was with all my contacts and settings untouched. Whats the skinny?

Welcome to the forums.
What root method did you use? Link please.
You posted in Sprint, is that your carrier?

No, you don't need to set a recovery point. Power the phone off (pull the battery if necessary). Then, with the phone off, press and hold Volume UP, Home and Power at the same time. As soon as you see the Samsung logo, release all three buttons. The phone should boot into recovery mode. (If you're a little too early or too late releasing the buttons, it will try to boot normally. Just power down and try again).

If you can boot into recovery, there will be an option for a Factory Reset (exactly how to get to that option will depend on what recovery you have). See if a factory reset solves your problem.

Tahnks yes Done all that But I want all my old settings and sounds back. I can reboot back and fourth between the messed up file and the factory reset now how do I merge it to work and not restart over and over again

I don't think you can. At least, I don't have any ideas how you can prevent the broken install from going into the boot loop. Sorry.

Assuming you had your calendar and contacts synced with Google, you'll get those back after a factory reset. And the app store remembers all your apps , and reinstalls those. But otherwise, I think you're just going to have to bite the bullet and start over.

So umm yea I did that. I did a factory reset and Google download contacts. Now about the broken install. I guess I will just need to knuckle down and do a backup before trying to root. Ill go research and post a few q's before I pull the trigger this time. My Old Tbolt Went smooth so I just jumped in like a fool
Thanks for the help folks appreciated
