phone is idle but draining 50% battery why?

My Htc one M8 is idle but draining alot of battery life! i slept keeping my phone at 97% woke up after 6 hours and i had only 44% left. i have disabled all the things before sleeping such as wifi bluetooth data sync nfc all of that. still same problem i am facing. keeping my phn idle is draining alot of battery. Please help. please tell me a 100% solution.

Make sure all your apps are closed. And every update it feels like it gets slower and slower so you can get you to buy the newest model. Sucks. That's capitalism for you.

You can unload the software comes with your phone or download a software to help you save the power.

If you look under settings and battery it shows what is draining your battery. You can download apps that monitor battery life and give more detail as well.
