Phone not ringing

It seems my SG 9 is ringing on the callers side but there is nothing on my side. No missed call nor message to say missed call.

It's not all the time as it does ring but I've had a few people ask me why I haven't rang them back.

Has anyone heard of this and is there a remedy.

Are you on WiFi calling by any chance? If so, a bad connection may be the culprit. If not, then it's more likely a carrier issue (i.e. poor signal and the call not truly connecting on your end) than a phone issue. If this persists I'd check with your carrier to check if you need a 'refresh' on your line and/or SIM.

Welcome to Android Central! Apologies if you've already done these basic things, but make sure the Ringtone volume slider is turned up (it's separate from your Media volume slider), make sure you're not on Mute, and make sure Do Not Disturb is off.

All that was checked. I've had phone calls from people telling me the phone rang but I hadn't touched the phone from the time they say they called until the time the call come through.

I don't think I am on WiFi calling. Never heard of it to be honest. I'll try get through to the carrier tomorrow. Thanks

I recall hearing about issues with that app in the past. Try uninstalling it and see if the problem persists.

This may sound silly, but have you tried restarting your device to see if it's a glitch?

I don't think u can uninstall it comes preloaded for spam but probably can turn off

Oops, didn't realize it's preinstalled. Can you Disable it in the Settings>Apps​ menu?
