Phone randomly shutting down?

Good day! I'm posting to see if anyone has had problems with the phone randomly shutting down? I woke up to find my Evo completely dead even though the phone was on the charger all night. The only reason I woke up was because I hadn't taken the battery out of the bb so it turned itself on for the alarm. Anyone else have this problem? Hopefully it was just a fluke!

Do either of you have a task killer installed?

Verify what you have installed on your phone is supported for the HTC Evo. My phone restarted twice on Saturday morning and gave a error. I uninstalled HTC battery widget and it hasn't restarted since.

Nope, I don't use task killers or anything. How do I verify that the apps are supported for the Evo? This morning was the first time I had that problem since getting the phone on Friday. Not gonna lie, I was kinda embarrassed that by luck of the draw, my blackberry still had the battery in it so it turned itself on. But yeah, I don't have any task killers installed...but need to know how do I verify what's supported for the Evo?

So the strange thing is that the only difference between today and yesterday is that there was an active "event" being that the alarm was set to go off. Other than that, there haven't been any changes between this morning and yesterday. The phone didn't shut off or restart yesterday, but it did today. Guess I'm just going to hope that it's a fluke and set my real alarm clock as a back up. :/
