Phone still vibrates with alarm set

Has anyone been able to figure out how to disable the phone from vibrating while the alarm is set without physically turning the vibrate off? With my old "non smart" phone, all I had to do was turn the volume down with the keys on the side to alarm only and it wouldn't vibrate... my phone keeps waking me up when I sleep during the day with all the vibrating from texts and such (I mostly sleep during the day as I'm a night shifter...)

If you put your phone in silent mode-- push power key and choose silent-- it doesn't vibrate for messages received but alarm is still audible when it goes off. Just tested it to be sure and that does work. Hope that helps
