Phone won't charge

Galaxy 5S Model # SM-G900A
Phone only charges 1 out of 10 times when connected to charger and plugged into the wall outlet. Turned phone off then back on last night and was able to get it to accept a charge, but overnight it only went from 34% to 88%! Ridiculous. Now nothing seems to work. This phone was purchased new and inboxed only last week. Have been experiencing increasing charging problems since then. Suggestions?

Take back off the device. Clean the contacts on battery and phone. Stick a bit of tissue or bluetack to push battery onto contact. Of course I'm assuming your charger is working correctly.. if that doesn't work, maybe try another battery...

You should NOT be experiencing this with a one week old phone. If it were me, I wouldn't do anything to it, I'd bring it back to where I bought it and ask for a replacement, you're within your 14 day window with AT&T.
