phone wont turn on

My wife's evo wont seem to turn on. Any ideas?

what apps did you install? pull the battery and wait a few minutes and reinstall.

Apparently it is "on" because it is ringing. but I guess the screen won't turn on.
Any ideas?

She hasn't installed any apps in over a week. She has no clue how to pull the battery, so I guess it will have to wait.

ok, she pulled the battery and it went back on. I don't have her list of apps in front of me, but it should be nothing out of the ordinary. A few simply games, grocery IQ, bar code scanner. Not much else. She hasn't had time to play with it.

But why would something like this happen? She can't be expected to keep pulling the battery all the time to get her phone to work
