Just returned from trip to Canadian Rockies, where I used my new Pro 20 for snaps instead of my ff DSLR with a pro lens. The results were remarkably close in my opinion. The best results were obtained by shooting in RAW & fixing with Photoshop Camera Raw on a desktop with a good (4K) monitor. I think if you use this method you can get results that can be good enough w/o having to carry a heavy & large DSLR on every hike or event,:D to get photos that are adequate for archiving, printing or sharing online. https://forums.androidcentral.com/images/smilies/biggrin.png

Well, your link goes no where.
Regarding raw, virtually any top tier phone these days can take pretty good photos when taken in raw and pp. The fact remains though, that they still are not up to the level of DSLRs or MILCs cameras.
Physics is physics and nothing can change that.
You don’t need a big heavy DSLR and big heavy lenses. The MILCs are small and light as are the lenses and they can produce stunning photos. Myself I’m moving to the m43 MILCs cameras from the Olympus line of OM-D cameras.
I still use a cp camera sometimes, but certainly less and less. When I do use my cp it’s always raw (unless I’m just taking a little digi-snap) and I shoot in raw using either UniWB or TLC methods.

I took my Canon GX7( 1" sensor) & used it 1 day. Comparing the 2, I really don't think you get much with the Canon over the Pro 20. I shot raw with both cameras & fixed both with PS Camera raw. Of course there is a difference when compared to a FF DSLR using a pro lens but the difference is astoundingly small. I looked at my photos at 200% today and again the Pro20 raw files held up. suprisingly well.

Saw comparisons between the P20 Pro and a DSLR done by a photographer and there was virtually no difference in quality. If any flagship can come close it's the P20 Pro, others aren't quite up to par even in RAW.
