I've noticed that with some photos I take with the camera it will have a grey streak running across them like the one below. I had the same problem with my S7 Edge and now the Note 8. Any ideas why?

Are those stored on an external SD card? About 2 weeks ago my SD card (not the one from Samsung) became corrupt & I lost quite a bit. That's how many of my photos looked right before it happened. If so, maybe back up whatever you have stored on it, just in case.

Yes, I do have them stored on a Samsung micro SD card. Maybe it's time for a new card?

And always remember that a very large percentage of so-called "electronic failures" are actually contact/connection problems, so you should not only back things up in case the card is failing, but also make sure the tiny contacts on the card are clean.

People often handle these cards with bare fingers touching the contacts, and transfer finger grease, hand lotion, etc to them. It amazes me that these kinds of contacts work as well as they do.

These micro SD cards are difficult to manipulate because they are so tiny. It makes it hard to avoid touching the contacts.

I would think an easy way to test this would be to open the camera app and change the storage from external to internal. Then take a lot of pictures and see if the problem continues.

Looks like the SD card can't keep up with the write speed of the camera. I had this problem on a PNY extreme card. I swapped to a Samsung EVO card and haven't had the problem since.
