Photon 4G for $99 for contract extension

Guys I need some help. The guys at Best Buy are saying its only with a NEW 2 year contract no extension or upgrade in order to get the 99.00. Does anyone have a details or copy of information I can use.

Same here. I got my photon from BestBuy yesterday for $99 + 2 year extension... and the $10/mo smartphone tax. I deactivated my FrankenPre2... just realized that by deactivating my Pre2, I'm kinda stuck, since I can't activate a sprint comms board in a Pre2. Well I guess I'll cross that bridge if I get to the 30 day mark and decide I don't like the photon.

Do you have a receipt or any information that can help. The store says no its only for new activation.

just got home from best buy - it is for upgrades also. i just paid 99 for the phone and i had the epic. you can also see the deal on besbuy.com

Go to bestbuy.com & order one as an upgrade, but don't check out. It should come up @ $99. Then print that & take it to your local best buy. They should price match that.

Where did you go? I went to customer service, not the cell phone counter.
I had NO issues getting the $106 credit

Best Buy has reduced their price for the Photon to $99 for contract extensions. Check it out:

Thanks for posting this! I ordered my photon yesterday and should be here soon! I've been holding on to my upgrade for quite a while so I am super excited they offered this price for upgrades! Can't wait to get my photon and join the Android community, I'm coming from a Blackberry 8530 that has been on its last leg for quite some time :p

Anyone know if this can be done with an upgrade on a Sero Premium account? My account's all set for the upgrade, but I'm not sure BB can process it on a Sero plan.

The clerk at the Best Buy did not even know. It rang up $115.00. He just stared at the register. :-X I just smiled. It was an upgrade as I finally had to let go of my Palm Pre.

Just got my price match done and I bought on launch day. Should have no problems getting it as long as you are in the 30 day window

Sold my epic for $125. Got an extra $50 credit from sprint. Paid $100 for the photon. Win!

Very nice. I sold mine for $170, but didn't take advantage of the $50 Sprint credit. Care to explain to us how you did that? Maybe we can also take advantage of it =D

I had a nextel on one of my lines. The government is buying all those contracts from sprint in the next year or so. So sprint is offering customers with nextels early upgrades and like $50-$75 credit to switch the nextel to a sprint phone so they don't lose the contact to the government. At least that is how the customer service explained it to me.

I upgraded my phone through Sprint two weeks ago. I saw this ad and called Sprint, they do not have a price match policy but they did work with me and offer a $25 credit toward my purchase. So I got the Photon for $174.00 :-$ Better than nothing i suppose.

You've got 30 days and you can return it for free! See: Sprint 30-day Return and Exchange Policy. Then go to BestBuy and get the same phone for $99.

Best buy also have the $36 activation fee... So the savings if you return it might not be worth it to you. You decide.

I bought this yesterday for 99$. It cost me 150.29 after tax. Is this what everyone else had to pay? I was pretty happy about 99$ but the tax just seems crazy. Paid tax on 600$ when the phone is really only 549$ ?

I've heard rumor that that kind of thing happens in California. For me (in N. Carolina) my tax was around $6.
