The bread looks beautiful. I hope it tasted as good as it looked.
I would not know at this time. It is a tried and true recipe although I was one egg short and exchanged cardamom in place of nutmeg. I already froze one loaf and the other will be sacrificed this evening. She is already willing to give up paleo for some. ;) Maybe I will document the salmon dinner.

Sadly, I guess the dearth of submissions to this thread indicates the dearth of Pixel Fold adoptions.

Now back to another confounding Wordle!!!

How long of a walk? Looks so nice and peaceful

It really is a terrific park. It was an army base, Fort Lawton. Lots of tree shaded paths and some open meadows (old parade grounds) and expansive views out over Puget Sound. There's also the old roads which are nice for bike riding. The Olympics are really impressive when covered with snow. The Hoh Rain Forest in Olympic National Park gets 100 inches of rain per year. Forks, WA (home of the Twilight Movie franchise) gets about 110 inches per year.

I added a map with elevation features. The loop is just about 3 miles and elevation gain and loss of only about 400 feet. If the beach is added, it is about four miles and about 700 feet of gain/loss. Today, there was no energy for the beach.

Another day, another bike ride but this one had a specific destination in mind ( https://www.seattletimes.com/seattl...at-seattles-ballard-locks-is-wowing-visitors/ )

I headed down to the "lox" since it had been a while for me.

The Fremont Bridge is opening for boat traffic. There's also a bike/pedestrian counter (actually says 870 for the day) and in the window of the tower is Rapunzel with her hair down!

The "ladder" allowing them to jump up to lake level from below the locks.

The large lock queuing up boats to drop to sea level. There was kayaks in the smaller adjacent lock waiting to rise up to lake level.

Two ARTS events in Everett, WA this weekend. "Fresh Paint" sponsored by the Schack Art Center and then an outdoor Sculpture Show at the Everett Arboretum. At the arboretum, some of the sculpture was part of their permanent exhibit and some was for sale. Which one did I buy if any?

Two decorative cars, if you like that sort of thing

Today was not a night at the opera - an afternoon...

Das Rheingold. Two and a half hours and per Wagner who still sets the rules - no intermission. Hence the T-shirt. The opera house is on the grounds of Seattle Center.
