Me, too. That's why I bring CAKES to potlucks. Unlike cookies I can't really snack on a few. Cake has to arrive whole for presentation!! It probably is cool enough to frost. I may be back with another shot or two.

I don’t think it’s sold out, but there’s a good amount of crowd here… Ohtani brings out the crowds including Little League World Series team from Japan…it’s Women’s Day as well ..

It's gas ... charcoal and oak chips ..you can do any at anytime ..my friend has a serious gas grill so no gas for it ..pizza was done in charcoal ...

My friend has a brick/ceramic pizza oven but will only use fruit wood. He occasionally drives over to Eastern Washington and hits orchards for their old, cut-down apple. cherry or other fruit trees. He also makes incredible bread and rolls in it.

That sounds awesome that would make a difference... I'm sure it's worth the extended drive to get some quality... And improve taste...

The end of Summer Potluck on Labor Day called for kitchen time. But when the groceries do not have fresh tarragon, you head to the garden shop and buy a plant! No, no garden shop shots.

In the making: Asparagus, Goat Cheese and Tarragon Tart. They claim it can be assembled in advance and then baked. That's Puff Pastry - store bought. (although ONCE I did make Napoleons from scratch and ONCE I made Apple Strudel with the dough spread out over the entire dining room table. Notice those were both ONE TIME EVENTS) So the results shall have to wait till later this afternoon...
