My own personal thread!

A few from this morning's walk in nice sunny weather.

I liked the backlighting

Tide is somewhat out. I shoot this view almost every time I walk the park.

keep them coming! i unfortunately don’t live in such a beautiful place.
I agree, keep them coming. They're beautiful!

the camera is great but your compositions and framing makes the photos beautiful. thanks for sharing!
Thank you. I do keep taking that "window" view to the water each time I walk it. The moods change with the sky and the tides are in and out and occasionally there's some large ship out there.

And then sometimes Google Photos signals me that they found similar shots and throws a series of them back at me with those various moods represented.

It really is a lovely park with shady paths and bikeable roads and some good hill work along with steep paths/steps down to the water and a light house. I will have to drag the fold down there. Of course, what I have not mentioned is that the damn sewer utility build a treatment plant down there, too. Pretty well screened but....

Someone else must have some photos, no?

Another bike ride through Discovery Park but I will also take you on a short tour of the Olympic Sculpture Park. It may take two or three posts so be prepared!

Awesome photos! I'd love to live in that little lighthouse.

Today's bike ride which crossed the SR-520 Bridge to the "gold coast" (Medina/Hunts Point) on the east side of Lake Washington. Just yesterday, the Seattle Times reported Medina is the most expensive city in WA state. The route uses the Burke-Gilman Trail (BGT), the bridge and some low traffic local roads on the east side. The BGT is world famous (well, maybe not that famous) but the picture does not show its root heaved pavement known for its crotch crushing bumps!

The UW's Husky Stadium on Lake Washington

The 520 Floating bridge. It may be the longest floating bridge in the world. It is really only pleasant for quiet riding when closed for maintenance like today! Otherwise traffic noise is an assault on the senses!

I've always liked mirror shots (quite a number in Europe)

More or less just to the left center is a tower of the Montlake Bridge. Its top is a greenish color, verdigris, a patina caused by weathering. The taller building is the UW Hospital.

And to finish with a few more images.

Husky Stadium, open to the lake. Oh, possible the "Boys in the Boat" building might be in this shot??

The board shows pedestrian and bicycle counts but was strobing in the "range finder" and would not photograph.

The crotch defying BGT! And about two miles from home. Pretty much beat the heat.
