Photos taken with your P20 Pro

The P20 Pro was just released in Canada today. Here is a picture from the mall parking lot where I picked up the phone. This is right out of the box no alterations at all. I also took a picture with the Google Pixel 2 (that I had with me) for comparison.

The top two photos are from the Pixel 2, while the bottom two are Huawei P20 Pro's camera.

As popped, the pixel is showing a little better dr. The shadows are not completely crushed. But as you said this is right out of the box for the Huawei.

Wow, those photos are so beautiful.

Hello,

Great photos! On the standard p20, theres a 20mp camera and a 12mp camera. Using the 20mp doesnt allow you to zoom in however the 12mp one does. The shots are better in the 20 but i do like to zoom in so Its really annoying having to go into settings all the time to change back and forth from 20 to 12. Is there a faster way to do this or can you enable zoom for 20mp anywhere?

Thanks

The 20mp camera is a monochrome (not color) Camera. So no, other than possible digital zooming, there is no other way. Using the 20mp camera “only” gives you a monochrome image.

What he said. The 20mp Monochrome lens captures the detail and the 12mp RGB lens adds the colour to it to give you a 20mp colour photo. I keep mine in 20mp mode and just crop the photo afterwards.

More photos from Packwood house.
Most of the interior shots were taken with night shot due to the very low lighting to protect the integrity of all the old items in the house.
The first 3 here are of the bedroom of Queen Margaret.
