Picasa on Incredible

From the main page's Droid Incredible Coverage "Answers" link, I saw this:

"How, if at all, does the phone integrate with Picasa? Will my albums from Picasa automatically show on my phone or is there an integrated Widget that allows an easy view? - Limjelo

Not out of the box. Sense syncs with Flickr."

What do you do/use to view Picasa Web Albums? Does the Google app have the 100 picture limit like it does on the iPhone/iPod?

Download the 3d gallery apk. It syncs auto with web albums. xda-developers

Anybody know why android doesn't sync with Picasa (google service) out of the box but does with Flickr (yahoo service)?
I mean there are push and pull APIs for Picasa right? What's the trouble?

HTC syncs with flickr for some reason (their choice)

normal 2.1 android does sync with picasa, but since htc removed the regular gallery in favor of their own you have to download it from the above link to add the functionality back in.

i like the 3d gallery more than htc's photo app.

You can manually upload your photos to Picasa.

From the photos app chose Share, scroll down and select Picasa. You get to choose which photos to upload and what album you want to put in.

Works like a charm for me except for really large photos. Sometimes only a portion of the photo gets there. For those I just connect via usb and import into my Picasa application on my computer.

The up load function is there but the standard htc gallery doesn't sync with picasa web albums. The Google 3d gallery does. You can't view your web albums in the htc gallery.

same problem. no matter what i upload, the bottom part of the pics are always cut off. huge problem imo, and it makes me use flickr and photobucket as a result
