picked up a droid x today, goodbye Storm

It gets so numbing when comparing features :-)
I realize that coming from the Storm, It will be a great relief to get just about anything at this point.

I just don't ever want to feel "stuck" again after making an awful choice.

I jumped on the Storm quickly in the hopes that firmware upgrades would fix all issues... well that came to a screeching halt

unless the x feels too big for you, or you REALLY like the senseUI over blur, the x is hands down a better phone. (i've owned both) :)

I ordered my Curve the same week the Storm 1 was released, and after following the buzz on Crackberry, I was glad that I chose to stick with the Curve. I actually liked the Curve a lot, and it was a very faithful phone.

But the X is so much better in every way IMO that I can't bring myself to miss BB.

It seems the like most common buyer of the Droid X is the former Storm-er. I, too, was one. Boy am I glad I'm switched. Congrats on the new phone =D

Recent convert as well. I had storm 1 and got my DX last tuesday and cannot put it down not sure how I survived with anything else this phone just rocks

Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk

former stormer myself... loving my X though. I miss the e-mail push the gmail app just doesn't do it for me, but that is about all I miss.

Curious, are there other email programs avail?
Seems many issues can be "fixed" by searching?

I read about camera blur issues, and replies stating that 3rd party cam apps solves this

it seems like every new android device on verizon takes a chunk of previous storm users.

how many devices until they're all converted? :p

Just got my X yesterday and immediately threw my Storm in the garbage. This phone is amazing!

So should I wait until the 2.2 update before I decide to root my phone? The only real reason i want to root is to avoid paying Verizon for a feature of the phone, NOT A SERVICE as they claim. IMO, that's like big red charging me to take pictures because the phone has a camera

root now, if the 2.2 official update breaks root it's going to break it regardless of you having it now or not.

i'm hoping they don't close the d2 method...
