Picking up at BB today? GET EXCITED!!!

I woke up 20 minutes ago feeling like a kid on Christmas morning. Logged on to the BB website and FINALLY store pickup option is available, my store showing the lovely GREEN AVAILABLE status.

The only horrible thing about all this is that BB opens an hour LATER on Sundays, :'( But I'll be there right at 11.

Who else is picking up at BB today? I can't wait to take the wrapping off my Xoom and finally experience what it's all about.

You're going to love it. I am typing this on mine right now.

I am now torn whether or not to return my 3G XOOM to Costco and buy the WiFi, or keep the one I have.

Decisions decisions.

I'm keeping mine as LTE will be here soon enough and I would rather simply not drain two batteries for my connection. I actually traded an I pad 2 for my Xoom so I'm fine with the money paid for the features I have. If it wasn't upgradable to LTE I would likely buy the wifi, but it's all good knowing what this summer will bring.

Return it IMO it will save you 200 bucks! easy choice imo. I don't care about 3G because I'm just going to tether it off my Droid if I take it somewhere out of a wifi zone.

^Yeah, that's what I do right now, but I like the thought of the flexibility. If I'm going on a long trip or something, just turn the data on for a month...then as mentioned earlier I'm only draining one battery instead of two.

Oh well, I have 90 days from release day to decide, it isn't like I need to make the decision today.

My verizon xoom is going back to costco today after I buy a wifi xoom. $200 less for what I wanted in the first place. And this time i'll use my Amec card and double the warranty!

When trying to buy the wifi xoom before today, I almost bought the 3G one, until I stopped into a verizon store and found out that turning data back on costs the $35 activation each time, its not on and off as you please like it is for AT&T.

That is if you turn off the data plan, there is an easy option to suspend service that you don't have to pay to turn it back on and off again.

I preordered my WiFi only Xoom from Amazon so I'm not supposed to get it until Tuesday. Oh well, it's only 2 days. I thought Amazon was going to ship them out on the 25th but I checked and it's shipping today with my 1 day shipping I payed an extra $20 for.

Yeah I'm keeping the 3G and waiting for the upgrade. tethering is a drain on the batter of my Droid X and not trying to walk around with a cellphone charger...lol

Well I went to a best buy in my area a little after opening and when I asked to get one they were just checking out with someone who bought the last one...

So I had to go to another best buy and they had some left. I am so happy with this. This is so fast at loading web pages and the tab browsing is just amazing. Using the internet is a lot easier then on the I pad!!! Seems like it is worth the $600 bucks!!!!

This is not true at all. You can suspend your account anytime.

Nice too see the wifi released and more folks xooming. This should be a real boon to the tablet community.

Tethering from a phone especially lte tethering will kill your battery. I am doing this with my TB and I am lucky to get a few hours.

I can't wait for lte xoom and take advantage of the battery life.

Question for anyone who bought the WiFi only version today, did it come in a big box with Verizon logos on it, and does it have a Verizon logo on the screen? or did Best Buy give me the Verizon version by accident.

If you paid 600 and got a box with verizon logos on it then you got the 3g version and lucked out big time lol!!!!!

You got a 800 device for 600 not on a 2 year contract!!!!
