Pic's From Space

Sweet pics! I'm running an 8" eq. I like the google sky, butI'm looking for a better planetarium app for the droid. Does anyone know of one?

This may seem like a dumb question, but how did you get. These shots with your phoblne and a telescope?

I just got a bunch of pictures of the eclipse last night on my canon dslr. It was pretty cool. When the moon was fully eclipsed the stars were pretty crazy.

Sent from my Droid Incredible using Tapatalk.

While I certainly don't mind you taking your own pictures, I believe I deserve some credit for being first. It would have been nice if you had posted a link to my thread in yours. I don't really care a whole lot but I expect some kind of small amount of recognition especially when this forum's home page features this thread.

You people can check out my thread over at android forums Images From Space! Put that camera to work. - Android Forums. Its lurker friendly so you don't even have to login to see my pics.

Deserve credit for what? This guy made his own thread. He took his own pictures. If I take a picture of a bird would I have to give credit to all of those before me?

No, I've been into astronomy for a while and it's kinda second nature to locate the larger planets but Google Sky Map is a great tool to help locate deep sky objects.
If you want to know if a bright star in the night sky is a planet or a star just remember that childhood song, "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", Well planets don't twinkle but star's do. Star's twinkle because of the atmospheric turbulence and planets are a lot closer to the earth so the turbulence doesn't effect them like it does star's.

very cool! learn something new every day! :)

The camera on the Incredible is just that, incredible. I snapped some pics using my brothers Incredible. I had taped a small DVD drive lense on the camera and it took some excellent macro shots. I'll see if I can post those sometime. I got the idea from a post on Lifehacker about taking the lense from and old DVD drive and using it with your phone to take macro photos.
