Android Central Question

I didnt find my phone in the categories (Oneplus 6T) so I just picked the closest thing, the 5T. Anyways, I just got this phone recently and Im having a problem with ads. Whenever I open up Instagram, or even an app that opens up the Gallery, I see pictures and videos of ads. A whole bunch of them. So when I open up my Gallery app in hopes to delete them, they're nowhere to be found. Strangely, they're not in my Files app either. It's almost like there's no way to get rid of them. Please help, I really don't want all these ads and pictures taking up storage space.

I'm interested because I'm seeing the same issue. I suspect it's just the phone caching the images but it is annoying.

fyi it looks like a lot of people have the same issue. there's an application on the play store that works round the issue. it's called nomedia by g(X) labs. it's a bit fiddly but it does work.
