Why do pictures taken through Snapchat & Instagram etc. look so horrible!

Not sure about Instagram but I know with Snapchat the camera uses the full screen (18:9) so it's far less MegaPixels than a normal front camera photo which would be 4:3 to get best quality. Add that to the fact Snapchat and Instagram already compress the photos then you're left with a very poor final photo. It's something the app developers need to fix not LG to be honest
