It could be a security policy enforced by your email admins at work.

No, I have that option disabled.

I'm talking about unlocking it after locking it.

My Note 5 does that with a reboot and it isn't something I can disable.

I believe that I discovered the culprit.

My Power toggles app. With this widget, if I lock the screen I cannot unlock it with iris or fingerprint. If I lock normally, I can.
