Android Central Question

Hi all - older versions of Messages allowed you to "pin" selected texts to the top of the Messages screen - I used that frequently to remind myself to reply to things. Haven't been able to find an equivalent in Oreo on my Pixel 2 - any ideas?

Get a text file app. Create a text file. Copy the text. Paste it to the text file. If you keep the text file in sdcard - the internal storage - you'll always be able to tap it and it will run the text file app, with that text file in it - with all your reminders. (Delete text as you no longer need it. I use that for my shopping list.)

I don't suppose you still have a device running Nougat where that feature works as you described? You could see what version of the Messages app that is, and possibly save the apk and try installing it on your Pixel.
At a minimum you could use that information to contact Google support and ask why that feature was removed and the likelihood of it making a comeback.
I've been using Verizon Message+ for several years so I never noticed that feature in the stock Messages app. (Unfortunately Verizon Message+ doesn't offer a feature like that; sorry.)
