Ping chat effects on battery life

Hi All,

just wondering if anyone else are using using ping chat and if so are you guys getting good battery life. My battery is about 20% after 7 hours.

Display is at the dimmest, no syncs, task killer killing everything ever 30 minutes.

Ping chat can't be killing the battery life that quick??

I was having the same problem after the last update from ping. I went into Manage Applications and the PingChat app, then Force Closed and cleared the cache. Seems to be MUCH better now. Hope that helps.

My battery also seemed to have a negative impact but I can't definitively blame PingChat as I had installed Kik! LiveProfile and WhatsApp (or whatever it's called). I uninstalled all but PingChat and felt I was still seeing some battery issues so removed that yesterday and it does seem to be better for me now.
